The Right Result

Upon such decisions… (Chelsea vs Liverpool 17/09/2006)

Panel DecisionDuring a typically feisty encounter between two teams expecting to in the shake-up when ’squeaky bottom’ time comes, Didier Drogba put in a decent claim for strike of the season whilst Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard was brought down by Frank Lampard in the penalty area, only it wasn’t given…

The Right Result Panel adjudges the incident as deserving of a Liverpool penalty, so the game is drawn 1-1.

What ****, the Blues deserved the win, and we all know Gerrard has a penchant for falling on his arse in the opposition box, which is exactly what he did again this time. No penalty for me.

We should have had a penalty when Arjen Robben was fould in the area. *******!

Gerrard has always been a diver and this ‘incident’ is no different. I can’t agree with the panel on this, the right result should have been 2-0 to Chelsea as Robben was fouled in the area like Oscar said. Lucky Liverpool again!
