Lino calls wrong Toon (Newcastle United vs Bolton Wanderers 15/10/2006)

Newcastle United’s pace-setting opener goal came via a penalty awarded against Faye for handling an Obefemi Martins cross. Upon closer inspection though it seems that Faye may have been a bit hard done by as he did not in fact handle the ball. Insult was added to injury for the Trotters when they later had a similar claim turned down by the same lino!

The Right Result panel disallows this goal, hence the final result is a 2-0 win for Bolton Wanderers.
