Hornets stung by lino (Watford vs Tottenham Hotspur 28/10/2006)
Poor old Tommy Smith may have spurned the chance of the season over at Vicarage Road, but despite his dreadful point blank miss, Aidy Boothroyd’s Hornets will rightly consider themselves hard done by after a dreadful linesman’s call saw a perfectly good Ashley Young goal ruled out for offside…
The Right Result Panel rules this as a legitimate goal and so the Right Result is 1-0 to Watford.

It’s not as if my team don’t have enough bad luck as it is without you denying us a point against the worst team in the bloody league. And not just that but in this right result table they’re above us! Still, I think the ref and his linesman were the only two in the place who saw that goal as offside so in this case fair do’s.
