Drogba goal chalked off hattrick (Chelsea vs Watford 11/11/2006)

Free-scoring Chelsea striker Didier Drogba’s first goal against Watford was scored from an off-side position. Cruel to deny a hattrick to the in-form Ivorian of course, but if it comes down to goal difference these things all add up…
The Right Result Panel judges that Drogba’s goal on 27 minutes should be disallowed as it was clearly off-side. The Right Result is therefore 3-0 to Chelsea.
