Martins goal wrongly ruled out (Newcastle vs Middlesbrough 26/11/2006)
In a game dominated by Newcastle but featuring a splendid performance by David James, Obafemi Martin’s first-half goal was disallowed for offside but video analysis suggests that the pacy Nigerian was level…
The Right Result Panel adjudges that Martins was indeed level and therefore scored a legitimate goal - the Right Result is Newcastle 2 Portsmouth 0.

I feel sorry for the poor guy, hasn’t scored in 7 games for newcastle, along comes a perfectly good golden oppurtunity, which he takes with both arms. Only to be ruled out by his arch enemy in yellow, the linesman.

I agree mate, a bit harsh for him since he’s not having that good a time of it so far. I don’t reckon he’s that good though to be honest - if he was then it’s unlikely he’d have moved from Inter to Newcastle, no offence to the magpies intended!

I agree, no offence, but newcastle will never be anything but a mid-table team with the odd cup run if they can keep abit of form.
