If Steve Coppell complains, its worth listening. (Newcastle vs Reading 06/12/2006)

The penalty decision for Newcastle’s second goal - Sodje’s tackle on Martins - was very harsh.
The panel adjudges the penalty should not have been given and the right result is thus a 2-2 draw.

BUT Sibierski had goal diallowed! It was a perfect goal and nobody understand what the ref was doing. Not even the ref could explain it. He refused to talk to anybody after the game as well. Had it ended 2-2, Roeder would be the one complaining, because of that incident. But Newcastle won and Coppell is the one complaining! The right result is 3-2!

Yep that last comment needs listening to, the fact that Sibierski’s goal should’ve been allowed is far less dubious than the penalty award. The right result should definitely be 3-2.

I remember this one yeah, Sibierski should have had a goal and so 3-2 would have been correct. The penalty was also harsh but you’ve missed one here
