Man City wrongly denied draw (Man City vs Spurs 17/12/2006)
The referee was going to award a penalty for a foul by Malbranque on Barton but was overruled by the linesman. He shouldn’t have been!
The panel adjudges Manchester City should have been awarded a penalty for the foul by Malbranque on Barton and The Right Result is therefore a 2-2 draw.
Battle of the Blues (Everton vs Chelsea 17/12/2006)

In a match chock full of incidents there were two particularly controversial ones. Firstly, Frank Lampard scored a fantastic goal - the only problem being that Kalou was clearly offside in the build-up. The Right Result panel has adjudged this goal should have been disallowed. The second incident was, of course, the Andy Johnson penalty appeal. Jose Mourinho initially claimed that Johnson dived. But should a penalty have been given? Was Johnson pulled back and was the pull inside the area? Well, Mourinho has apologised for pointing the finger at Johnson and a penalty should have been given for the foul in the penalty area.
The right result of this game should have been a 3-2 victory for Everton.

McCarthy’s hattrick of disallowed goals! (Reading vs Blackburn 16/12/2006)
Blackburn’s McCarthy scored a hattrick of goals, all disallowed for offside, before finally scoring one which the ref allowed!! The second of the disallowed goals was onside and should have stood though.
The panel adjudges that the second of McCarthy’s disallowed goals should have been allowed and The Right Result is therefore 3-1 to Blackburn Rovers.

Aston Villa unlucky (Aston Villa vs Bolton 16/12/2006)
In a game that they dominated, Aston Villa were very unfortunate to lose against Bolton, particularly as they should have been awarded a penalty for a clear push by Faye on Baros in the area.
The panel adjudges a penalty should have been awarded to Aston Villa and The Right Result is a 1-1 draw.

Should Chelsea’s equaliser have been ruled out? (Chelsea vs Arsenal 11/12/2006)
In the build up to Chelsea’s equalising goal there was a foul on Hleb by Ashley Cole. The Right Result rules mean that, as it was in the same phase of play as Essien’s wonderstrike, the goal should be cancelled out.
The Chelsea goal should have been disallowed making The Right Result a 1 - 0 away win to the Arsenal.
Did Ashley Cole foul Alex Hleb in the build up to the Chelsea equaliser?
- Yes, Hleb was fouled (90%)

Christiano Ronaldo had strayed just off-side for United’s final goal of the afternoon in the one-sided Manchester derby.

Scharner unfairly denied by linesman (Hammers vs Wigan 06/12/2006)

Scharner scored a header from a free-kick shortly after the second goal which the ref wrongly ruled out for off-side.
The panel adjudges the goal should have been allowed and the Right Result is therefore 3-0 to Wigan.

If Steve Coppell complains, its worth listening. (Newcastle vs Reading 06/12/2006)

The penalty decision for Newcastle’s second goal - Sodje’s tackle on Martins - was very harsh.
The panel adjudges the penalty should not have been given and the right result is thus a 2-2 draw.

McCarthy goal offside…(Blackburn vs Fulham 02/12/2006)

Benni McCarthy was in an off-side position for Blackburn’s second goal…
The Right Result panel adjudges the goal should have been disallowed due to McCarthy having been offside and so The Right Result is therefore Blackburn 1 Fulham 0.

Poll has another nightmare, Wenger delighted (Arsenal vs Spurs 02/12/2006)

With the score at 0-0 Freddie Ljungberg was clearly fouled in the area by Dawson and a penalty should have been given. Emmanuel Adebayor was, upon close inspection onside for his goal, and the lino called it right. Both Arsenal penalties though were dodgy decisions…in the first half Chimbonda was adjudged to have brought down Rosicky but he did made contact with the ball with a fine saving tackle…in the second half Van Persie handled before being awarded a penalty.
The Right Result panel adjudges that with one penalty wrongly denied and two penalties wrongly awarded the Right Result is Arsenal 2 Tottenham 0.
