WIGAN ATHLETIC vs LIVERPOOL - Latics double denial

Wigan Athletic have every reason to feel aggrieved following the single goal home defeat by title hopefuls Liverpool. The Latics were justified in their first-half claims for a penalty after a foul by Jamie Carragher on Julius Aghahowa immediately before Paul Scharner was adjudged to have been offside. Then after the break, when he was in an onside position, Marcus Bent was denied a valid goal when one of his retreating team mates was flagged off. It’s the sort of rotation Rafa Benitez wouldn’t like as we turn a Liverpool win into a Liverpool loss.
The Right Result is a 2-1 win for Wigan Athletic.

another proof that the referees are biased, always giving favourable deicision to the so called Big 4. How much do these club pay the referees?

Like the penalty that was given to Chelsea at Anfield. The offside goal Reading scored against us in the week. The penalty given against us at Portsmouth. The inoquious penalty against Villa. Liverpool are often at the wrong end of decisions. Most of the refs hate Liverpool and favour Man U and Arsenal. Even Chelsea often get poor decisions against them.

Liverpool have historically had an easy ride from officials on and off the field. They are part of the infamous G14, so that may explain a thing or two. Will also explain why Chelsea get some poor decisions against them, as they are not part of it. Yet.

Like the Henchoz handball in the cup final against the Arse.
The pen u got against Sheff Utd when Gerrard fell over.
And numerous other kopite biased decisions u get.

hopefully Chelsea will not ever be part of G14 as they’re a joke of club, with very few real fans and have to advertise in the London press in order to sell out matches! just shows that are only so many sloaners and rugby fans to go around…and that people who support small clubs like Chelsea are born into an inferiority complex. thankfully for me, they are now back to being inferior on the pitch as well. may I remind everyone that we (LFC) have had 4 pens given against us this season so far, 2 of those have been justified! and that includes the joke of a decision when Chelsea were outplayed at Anfield.
