BLACKBURN ROVERS v MANCHESTER UNITED - Almost there

Saturday 19 April 2008

Panel Decision

Manchester United’s trip to Chelsea next Saturday is being billed as a title decider and, but for a mathematical freak, United will be crowned champions of the Right Result table if they avoid defeat at Stamford Bridge. That’s because we believe they should have taken three points from their clash at Blackburn Rovers as we uphold two of their penalty appeals. In the first-half, Rovers’ Steven Reid tripped Wayne Rooney inside the box. In the second-half, defender Brett Emerton blocked Michael Carrick’s goal-bound header with his arm.

The Right Result is a 3-1 win for Manchester United.

Seems right result are happy to give pens to united quite easily this week, rooneys trip in the first half, not alot more contact if any than the gerrard one the week before. The second one yes it was hand ball, but how about the foul on torres in the game last week??

Fact is with Rob Stiles iffy decisions the premier league could be decided (pen at Liverpool for Chelsea and no pen at Blackburn for United), time for the local sunday league for Stiles.

It’s a total mockery giving Rooney a pen when he clearly dived. Rightresult my eye

The Emerton RR decision is correct, but you must be joking on the Rooney one. Yes, there was contact, but Rooney was clearly able to stay on his feet right up until he realised that the ball had got away from him. If he’d gone down immediately a penalty would be the correct decision, but the lateness of his belly flop to the ground suggests that he dived.

Hey, you guys said on the first page that you have expert panels which decides the right results, but you are terribly wrong in case of Rooney’s penalty, clearly the replays showed that it was Rooney who dived and that was clearly not a penalty…..
And don’t think i am one of the scousers or the chelsea lot but i am a United fan ……..
So this very well proves that why no one knows about your rightresult.net because it is in fact giving wrong result……….

actually guys im a united fan…but i think this tables fair…also someone saying rooney’s trip was a probable dive….rooney’s a player with a reputation for staying on his feet even when its perfectly legitimate for him to go down…save the one against sol campbell…..and gerrard is known to regularly con the refs alongwith jamie carragher…gerrard almost tells the ref that he’s going down before he actually does!!!

  • 7. Reasoning  |  April 22nd, 2008 at 5:59 pm

Rooney dived when he realised he couldn’t reach the ball = yellow card
For kicking Samba from behind = yellow card
    2xyellow card = red

Down to 10 men Man Utd wouldn’t have equalised.
    Correct result Blackburn win.

You lot have no idea. You say Rob styles got it wrong, I would like to see one of you officiate an 11 a side kids game.

The we will see if you are so egar to say he got it wrong.

  • 9. Objective  |  April 24th, 2008 at 2:35 pm

This is the right result 3-1 to United. The referee’s association has deemed they were bad calls. They have sent Rob Styles to League 2 this weekend, because he didn’t award two clear penalties

i was at the game and Rooney should defenitly of been sent off. First of all he dived looking for a penalty( have to say im surprised ref didnt give it with it being united and all that) Then rooney kicked samba. the correct result should of been a blackburn win(with rooney off the pitch) Blackburn did still have a very good chance nearer the end with Pedersen shooting and it coming back of the post

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Isnt it just that in reality blackburn is a load of rubbish.

You made me laugh when you said Blackburn won, I thought you were been serious for a second hahahaha.

    Rooney dived.

  • 13. Franny  |  April 30th, 2008 at 7:34 am

    Right result??

What a joke… Rooney dived in the box and should’ve got a yellow for that. His lunge at Samba was two footed with both feet off the ground and should’ve got sent off thus making it easier for Blackburn to win.

Right result is 1-0 to Blackburn Rovers.

This site is so f*cking biased towards Manure Nited that it’s unbelievable!

hahahahaha…….everyone seems to hate man u and rooney…….

right results are correct….they should have given the penalty to rooney……

didnt you see how he was standing before he fall???his body was already slanting…..he was going to fall anyway….so he didnt dive…he actually tried to be on his feet and when that guy tackle him, he just lost his balanced…..the defender didnt even get the ball….

but about the two footed tackle, it should have be a red…..ref knew he should have given the penalty to rooney and made a mistake not too, so he just gave a yellow to rooney….

You lot dont have a clue….

  • 16. Tim  |  May 7th, 2008 at 4:22 pm

How are the people who watched the slow-mo replays and came to the conclusion Rooney dived missing the fact the the defender made contact only with Rooney’s ankle and not the ball? As a United fan, I don’t feel aggrieved about this one though, but the handball was obvious for all to see, not just us with the benefit of the replays.
