ARSENAL vs CHARLTON - Should have been five!

Tuesday 2nd January 2007

Panel Decision

With the score at 2-0 the returning Thierry Henry scored but the goal was wrongly disallowed for offside, despite Henry being behind the ball when it was passed.

Charlton manager Alan Pardew frankly made a fool of himself criticising the officials. He claimed Van Persie was in an off-side position when he was brought down for an Arsenal penalty. He was not off-side because he was not active. As a manager it would probably be a good idea if Pardew did some mugging up on the rules of the game.

The Right Result was a 5-0 win to Arsenal.
